Two days ago I was walking among thousand of others for the celebrations of freedom in Turkey. There I came across many friendly faces and some of them were completely strangers. There on the road I saw why freedom matters. It is not only since freedom is essential for human existance… It is the best hope we have for future and for children. That was why I loved to see man children there…

People were celebrating to be as free as they please and they were protesting who were to assume that they can restrict. It is a grave mistake to think that one can rip away freedom from human beings, since without it we are nothing but a statistical mechanics moving in a physical space. Freedom is a little spark burried deep within human soul which is the essential self. We celebrate since nowdays we are living it also, not just feeling it as a distant island.

Great leaders (even spiritual ones and the prophets in a different level) are the ones who fought for freedom of the people, great ones like Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. People there were also celebrating that he was there when the people needed him most. Such a great person…

So a deeply felt thanks to M. Kemal Atatürk was in the air, so that we were able to walk that night to celebrate…

  1. Celebrate is/was great… But on the other hand not enough to keep our freedom. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk is/was great man and no one can change this and also no one can put himself instead of him. I hate politics and politicians… but life sometimes could be hard when you worry about your freedom… Blessing and Happiness to my beautiful country, how great happiness to be a Turkish. Thank you, love, nia
